While sharing the wonders of bee keeping and helping to cultivate and grow our local bee keeper community is extremely important to us, we also have another motivation. A portion of our sales will go to support West Africans who are suffering under political unrest.
Growing up in West Africa as a child, I have a heart for the African people and their way of life. Due to the political turmoil in West Africa right now, thousands of people have been displaced from their mud hut homes and have very little to live off. They have had to pick up and move for the safety of their family, but these moves require them to leave everything behind. A portion of the funds that are raised from The Bee Hut’s sale of bees are sent directly to families who have lost everything to help them in this difficult season.
